The Last Devil To Die - Facts

Mervyn, the new neighbour, is the victim of romance fraud or scam. Romance scams involve people being duped into sending money to criminals who go to great lengths to gain their trust and convince them that they are in a genuine relationship. They use language to manipulate, persuade and exploit so that requests for money do not raise alarm bells.

Donna uses reserse image search to find the woman who is deceiving Mervyn. A reverse image search is just like any other search but, instead of text, it uses visual data as the primary input. Advanced algorithms then analyse the content and patterns within the image and search for visually similar images across the web.

SIO Jill Regan is from the National Crime Agency. The National Crime Agency is a national law enforcement agency in the United Kingdom. It is the UK's lead agency against organised crime; human, weapon and drug trafficking; cybercrime; and economic crime that goes across regional and international borders, but it can be tasked to investigate any crime.

Nina, the woman Kuldesh called the day he died, works as a professor in Canterbury. Canterbury, a cathedral city in southeast England, was a pilgrimage site in the Middle Ages. Ancient walls, originally built by the Romans, encircle its medieval centre with cobbled streets and timber-framed houses.

Samantha Barnes, the fraudulent art dealer, lives in Petworth. Petworth is a town and civil parish in the Chichester District of West Sussex.
