Five Love Affairs and a Friendship: The Paris Life of Nancy Cunard, Icon of the Jazz Age 3 (Pages 88 - 154)

The book mentions a group that was named Bright Young People. The Bright Young Things, or Bright Young People, was a group of bohemian young aristocrats and socialites in London during the 1920s. The name was given to them by the tabloid press. They threw flamboyant fancy dress parties, went on elaborate treasure hunts through nighttime London, and some drank heavily or used illicit drugs.

Five Love Affairs and a Friendship: The Paris Life of Nancy Cunard, Icon of the Jazz Age 2 (Pages 56 - 88)

In 1920 Nancy decided to move to France. One of the love affairs the author includes in the title is the one with Michael Arlen. Michael Arlen (born Dikran Sarkis Kouyoumdjian, 16 November 1895 – 23 June 1956) was an essayist, short story writer, novelist, playwright, and scriptwriter. Arlen spent some time in France with Nancy Cunard in 1920, although she was married to someone else at the time.
