 During the war Archie's commander was Hugh Trenchard. Marshal of the Royal Air Force Hugh Montague Trenchard (3 February 1873 – 10 February 1956) was a British military officer who was instrumental in establishing the Royal Air Force. With the outbreak of First World War, Trenchard was appointed Officer Commanding the Military Wing of the Royal Flying Corps.

Five Little Pigs - Facts

 

Amyas's mother was a big fan of Kingsley, the writer, and he was named after one of his characters. Charles Kingsley (12 June 1819 – 23 January 1875) was a broad church priest of the Church of England, a university professor, social reformer, historian, novelist and poet. Westward Ho! is an 1855 historical novel written by British author Charles Kingsley. It follows the adventures of Amyas Leigh, an unruly child who as a young man follows Francis Drake to sea.

New Book - Towards Zero by Agatha Christie (Pages 1 - 38)

 

First Published: June 1, 1944

The book starts in November 19, where several lawyers get together and discuss a recent case. The accused was found non guilty because of the testimony of a young girl. One of the lawyers, Mr Treves, a retired solicitor, considers that a murder is not the beginning but the end, point zero, and it started months or years before.

Henry Morley is a dentist who lives with his sister, and this morning he is complaining about everything, especially as his secretary, Gladys, has been called to her aunt's side because she has had a stroke. Morley thinks that Gladys has made up this as a way to spend the day with her unsuitable boyfriend, Frank Carter.
