Eleanor and Kat grew up in East Sussex. East Sussex is a ceremonial county in South East England. It is bordered by Kent to the north-east, West Sussex to the west, Surrey to the north-west, and the English Channel to the south.
Nick moved to Cape Town when he married. Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain.
Nick and Eleanor met in Oxford, and the first time they went to have lunch in the covered market.
The house that Eleanor inherits is in Wolvercote. Wolvercote is a village that is part of the City of Oxford. It is about 5 kilometres northwest of the city centre.
