New Book - The Butterfly Girl - Naomi Cottle 2 - by Rene Denfeld)

 First Published: 2019

This is the second book in the series, and Naomi, the child finder, has stopped his activity to try to find her sister.

Naomi and her sister were kidnapped and locked in a basement, and Naomi remembers running away, and it was after some time that Naomi remembered that there was her sister there. Naomi doesn't know her name or what she looked like. What she has found is the basement where she was locked, but that was abandoned long ago.

Now Naomi is married to Jerome, who was another foster child in Mrs Cottle's household. Naomi and Jerome are now staying with Diane as in the city street girls are being murdered and Naomi thinks that this could be a lead to finding her sister.

The novel also focuses on one street girl, Celia, who ran away from home because her stepfather abused her. Celia is worried about her little sister, Alyssa, who she left behind. Her mother is a drug addict and Teddy, her stepfather, provides the drugs. Celia hangs out with two other street children, Rich and Stoner, who protect her.

I don't know if Celia may be connected to Naomi in some way. Could her mother be Naomi's sister? Celia has seen Naomi but she distrusts strangers, and it is sad how Celia is accepting the fact that she will die like some of the girls who have been murdered.
