New Book - Looking For Trouble - Sal Kilkenny 1 - by Cath Staincliffe (Pages 1 - 11)

Sal Kilkenny is a private detective who mainly takes cases of women suspecting their husbands of unfaithfulness. 


The job is quite irregular, and Sal has problems making ends meet. She also has a four-year-old daughter, Maddie, but we don't know who her father is.

One day she gets a call from a woman who has references about her from a previous client. The woman, Mrs Hobbs, wants to see her , and when she shows up, she tells her  that her sixteen-year-old son, Martin, has been missing for one month. The police have not taken his disappearance seariously, and Mrs Hobbs is desperate.. Sal asks the usual questions, and Mrs Hobbs says that Martin didn't have any money, and he was a loner. The woman pays Sal a thousand pounds, more money than he has seen in months, so he tells himself that he needs to take this case seriously.
