The dead woman is Clare, the young woman who was on her way home after her shift as a waitress in a bar. She wanted to be a nurse and worked all hours to save for university. Sadly, the murderer thwarted her plans.
Ryan asks Frank to check whether there are any other cases of missing women. He finds out that there are several women who went missing around the 21st June, the Summer Solstice, and this seems to be a common element which connects them.
Ryan visits DC Jack Lowerson, who is eager to leave the hospital and join the action again. When Ryan asks him if he remembers something, he only says that he has nightmares, but he never remembers what they were about. When Ryan leaves, Lowerson feels the urge to call him back, but he is afraid. He remembers a voice, and he knows that as long as he doesn't remember, he is safe.
