RATING: VERY GOOD
SPOILERS!!!
With the code Connie and Ron go to the vault to open the safe. The others wait, but after hours they return to Coopers Chase because Connie and Ron haven't appeared.
When Joanna checks the footage of the day of her wedding outside the vault, she sees Holly and Davey Noakes talking. So she goes and tells her mother and the others. SDavey Noakes is summoned, and the man finally spill the beans. He confesses that there is not bitcoin. It is true that he paid Holly and Nick for their service with bitcoin, but there is nothing left as he used it. He thought he could return the money, but when the price of that reached hundreds of millions, it was unthinkable. He realised he had a problem when Holly and Nick decided to sell. Then Holly came to him, telling him that he had killed Nick because on the event of his death she would get the whole lot. Holly confessed that she had planted a bomb under his car, but she hadn't checked whether Nick had died. Davey sent one of his men, found the car and removed the bomb. Nick had noticed the bomb and that is why the day of the wedding he had approached Elizabeth. The man then followed Holly to Coopers Chase, and while Holly was inside talking to the Thursday Murder Club, he left the bomb on the back seat. And when Holly got into the car, she threw her bag, containing the dense brownies that Joyce had given her. And that was what make the bomb explode. So the only murderer was Holly.
After removing the piece of paper from the safe, Connie and Ron plan something. Once at home Ron opens the door to his son-in-law, who demands the paper with the code for the bitcoin, and then suddenly, the police burst into the room and Danny is arrested.
The end of the book shows that Paul finally contacts Nick, and everything is right. Elizabeth helps Tia to find a job in the secret service. And Lord Townes, disappointed about his position in life, takes his yacht and decides to kill himself.
I enjoyed the book greatly and I loved every single moment. Yet, I think the mystery was not as good as the ones in the previous books.
