RATING: GOOD
SPOILERS!!!
In this collection of stories we find the first chapter of this novel, which I will read completely at some point. The narrator is Miss Butterworth, and when she looks out of the window one night, she is surprised to find a couple coming into the house next door. She knows that the von Burnams are away, but the young man has a key, and he and the woman get inside. That's why she thinks that the man must be the son.
The next day Amelia sees that there is no movement in the house next door, and she runs there, but nobody opens. Then she calls a policeman who is not very helpful. A woman approaches and she says that she is the cleaner and has a key, so she and the policeman get inside. Some minutes later the cleaner comes out, crying that she is dead, and Amelia enters and the cleaner points at a bundle, and she sees the dead woman.
This is the first chapter, which appears interesting, so at some point I will read the rest of the novel.
