Ivo becomes a regular client for Roxy, and when she first meets him, Roxy thinks he looks like Patrick Dempsey. Patrick Galen Dempsey is an American actor and racing driver. He is best known for his role as neurosurgeon Derek "McDreamy" Shepherd in the ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy from 2005 to 2015.

When Roxy starts driving Ivo, she takes him to Kildare, which is where his father lives.

Malahide Castle is where Roxy and her mum go for a stroll before she returns to Dave. Malahide Castle, parts of which date to the 12th century, lies close to the village of Malahide, 14 km north of central Dublin in Ireland.

When Roxy first gets back with Dave, he has a job in Wexford for three weeks. Wexford is a town in southeast Ireland, at the mouth of the River Slaney. Roxy starts an Instagram account to post photos, and one of the first photos is Mount Juliet, Kilkenny, where she drives a general. 

Roxy drives Ivo to Karlow on a two-day trip. Arklow is a town in County Wicklow on the southeast coast of Ireland. 

On the second day they go to Tipperary, and Roxy walks around the Rock of Cashel.
