On this occasion Lara travels to northern Sweden to a resort that receive guests for a special dinner cooked by famous chef, Viggo Widlund.
This was something that she and her friend Sandrine planned to do. Then Sandrine was murdered. Now Lara decided to enjoy the treat anyway in memory of Sandrine, and she takes Alex with her.
Everything is covered in snow, but the resort is really a dream. When she arrives, she gets to see Viggo, who is holding a knife, but he does not see her. Viggo is on his way to see Martin, his partner and the owner of the resort. With the knife in his hand, he tells Martin unkindly that he is tired of the direction their dream project has gone, and he won't do it again. Martin is not happy, and before Viggo leaves his luxurious cottage, he tells him that he he will regret his decision.
