SPOILERS!!!
As the novel progresses, more and more people die. After Philippa, Lily finds Ronney dead in his room. Lily keeps solving riddles but she is not close to finding out the truth about her mother. Tom is attacked as that night Lily also wakes to find someone strangling her, but another figure rescues her, but she can't distinsguish them. When Lily tells everybody about what happened to Tom and herself, the next day Rachel and Holly leave, afraid that someone may happen to them.
Gray is the next to die, and it is clear that the murderer has to be Sara or Tom, and I had my doubts about Tom all the time. He is too nice. Sara has changed since her brother died. On the eleventh day of Christmas, things get sorted and Lily discovers that Sara and Tom are lovers and have been in cahoots all the time, killing everybody. Mrs Castle has left, so it is just the three of them. Tom shoots Sarah dead, and then he tells Lily that they can get their stories straight and have the house for themselves. By now Lily has discovered things about the past, and the person who killed her mother Mariana was her brother Edward, because she refused to agree to turn the hotel into a hotel. He paid the coroner 40,000 euros to write a report concluding that Marina had killed herself. Then Liliana killed her brother and his wife Veronica for the murder of Mariana by tampering with the brakes in the car.
When Tom has all the keys and is no closer to discovering the secret room, he starts using a sledgehammer around the house, and Lily finds the secret room which is a music room. Tom is about to shoot her, but then Mrs Castle appears and kills him. Isabella also appears and explains that she has been hiding all the time. She also explains that Mrs Castle was actually Liliana's wife. The police are heard in the distance, and Lily says that now that the house is hers, she won't sell it. This is wher eshe will raise her daughter and will have her business. And she then asks Isabelle out on a date.
I found the book interesting at the beginning, but when more and more people were killed and nobody did anything to stop the murderer when there were not many candidates to choose from. And I found the motive to kill everybody a bit weak.
