In these 18 pages there are the testimonies of two people.
One is a teacher who tells us that she taught the person in question, a man, when he was in primary school. This teacher describes him as being mentally challenged, and he did not speak but tended to grunt when someone approached him. The teacher says that she tried to talk to his mother, Mariette, but she thinks she could have done better. From what this teacher says, this man and his mother lived in an isolated spot, and recently it seems that a little girl was found with this man, but she doesn't think the girl can be his.
The other testimony is of a man who was in the school with the man in question, who he says everybody called Bear because of his size and his behaviour. He says that he and other boys did not treat him well and were cruel to him. His testimony is kinder than the teacher, and he seems to regret his behaviour as a child.
After these two chapters I'm intrigued to know more.
