The book starts on 23 April, 1891.
I have only read a few pages, and in this first chapter there is a part about Princess Alice, who I imagine is Queen Victoria's daughter, and it seems she has a vision of a child or a dwarf in her.
Then there is a part in which two clergymen, Father Dennis adn Adam, have a relationship. It is in Canterbury Cathedral when from the window Father Dennis sees a nurse with the archbishop's niece. He witnesses a man hitting the nurse in the head and when she falls, two more beat her up. And then the girl is taken by one of the men.
I think this is going to be a good read, but I still don't know much..
