Salvador and Navarro are left alone when Genara goes, and they intend to fight. However, Salvador is so famished after being without food for 48 hours that he almost faints. Navarro takes him to the shack that house some other guerilla men where he gives Salvador food and drink.
Once Salvador has eaten, they leave, and Navarro gives Salvador a sable. Navarro says that he will kill him for having deceived Genara, pretending to be Navarro the day he saw them talk over the fence. Salvador says that it is a lie and he never pretended to be someone else. As he calls Genara a liar, Navarro jumps over him, and the two men start fighting. Navarro falls, bleeding, saying that he is dying, and that is when the novel ends.
I think this is a great start to the series. I have to say that I like these two men, but I am not sure about Genara, who seems to have no problem lying to curry favour from the man who she realises is the best match.
