SPOILERS!!!
Tracy helps Kinns to investigate the disappearance of Stephanie, and she discovers that there are two cold cases about two prostitutes going missing in the same area. That leads them to the Sprague brothers, and we discover that Evan, the youngest brother who is intellectually challenged, took Stephanie, but what surprised me that he did that to copy what his brothers had already done. Franklin and Carroll kidnapped the two prostitutes and hold them captive for their own pleasure. When Kinns and and Tracy talk to Franklin, he decides to take them to a house in the country.
Tracy is suspicious, but Nolasco hears that she has been helping Kinns and forbids her to do that. Yet, she reasons that she can still investigate the disappearance of the two prostitutes. In the area where Stephanie disappeared, cigarette stubs are found, and they are sent to the lab. Mike, the lab technician, says that he needs DNA for comparison. So Tracy decides to follow Carroll to the pub as he does not know her, and when he leaves, she swabs her beer bottle for his, and it is this bottle that she sends to the lab. The thing is that Carroll and Franklin realise, and the oldest brother, fearing the worst, has decided to take Evan away.
The lab comes back with the results, saying that the DNA shows that the stub and the bottle have been used by people who share DNA, probably siblings. Tracy has discovered that the Spragues' parents had a foster kid for a while, Lindsay. Tracy can't find any leads to her and the neighbours say that she left and was not hear again. Tracy discovers that there is a sister, and she goes to see her. The sister, Aileen, tells her that she hasn't seen her sister in a while. Yet, Tracy spies a photograph,, showing a woman who she believes is Lindsay. So when she leaves, she waits, and then Aileen promptly goes out and drives somewhere, and it is obvious that she is warning Lindsay, who drives away. Tracy follows her, and it is Lindsay who surprises Tracy by coming to her. Lindsay says that she has done everything to disappear and has avoided leaving any trails.
As part of her job, Tracy keeps investigating the disappearance of Elle Chin. From the conversation with the officer and Bobby Chin, she gets the impression that Jewel Chin was more worried to punish her husband than about her daughter. When Tracy talks to Jewel, she also has the impression that she shows a ruthless side. I have my suspicions that Elle was taken by her aunt, Bobby's sister, because he says that she and his father are back in China. From what Bobby says, he thought that the home that Jewel gave the girl was not suitable. So maybe he arranged for his sister to take the little girl. After all, the only witness saw a woman holding a girl's hand, and the girl seemed willing to go with her.
