Harbinder is certain that the key to Gary's murder can be found in the death of David Moore. When she talks to Izzy, who seems very anxious, she learns that Izzy has started seeing Gary again. They were a couple twenty-one years ago, and recently she and Gary came into contact again through Facebook. They felt guilty about their respective families, but Izzy claims that they were going to tell their spouses. Izzy says that she knows the reason why Gary was murdered. He went to his rugby reunion, and he called her to say that David was murdered and he knows who did it. Izzy also tells Harbinder and Kim that twenty-one years ago Cassie was in love with Gary. So Harabinder plans to question her colleague.
Anna, who is the third point of view, seems to be carrying out her own investigation. Chris, the pop star, used to be her boyfriend at school, and when they arrange to meet, Chris reminds her that there was a conversation in which they talked about killing David Moore for what he had done to Cassie. Anna hardly remembers that conversation, but Chris says that the plan was to scare him. That was the day they had their last A-level exam, and that day Chris broke up with him. Chris now confesses that he broke up with her because he did not want her involved in the David Moore affair.
Anna also talks to Izzy, who tells her what she told the police. She also says that the day of David's death Gary was not waiting at the station because they got delayed as they had a cuddle. Anna thinks that maybe Izzy made Gary late on purpose. Then Anna talks to Henry, who is a labour MP and didn't like Gary. He says that he was there and Cassie killed David. When Anna tells him that she barely remembers that as she was not there, Henry contradcts her and says that she was there and he saw her.
The police have also talked to Chris and Sonoma, and an interesting thing is that Gary contacted them to invite each ot them to luch in a restaurant in Bleeding Heart Yard, a small courtyard. There were just men at that lunch, and during the lunch there was a speaker talking about environmental problems, which is odd as Gary was very vocal in his speeches about climate change being a lie. Harbinder also knows from Gary's agent that in the last months he receives notes with just an expression Bleeding Hearts.
