Erika is having dinner in a posh restaurant with her partner, Igor, and she starts suspecting that he is going to propose. They have been together for four years, but Erika can't do the marrying thing. She is still sore from the memories of her first marriage, and she feels unable to be a wife again.
Before Igor can say anything, she tells him that she has to go to the bathroom. What she does is to go out and have a cigarette on the terrace. When she decides to return to the restaurant, she realises she has lost her bearings when the lift leaves her in an area that she does not recognise. Then she hears a voice asking for police. The woman is a cleaner, and she is talking on the phone, saying that there is a dead man. Erika then identifies herself as a police officer, and the woman says that she regularly cleans the apartment, but it is always empty. So she has no idea who the dead man is. Erika walks inside, forgetting that Igor is waiting for her in the restaurant.
Very interesting start!
