Ginger mentions Jeanne Lanvin as one of her favourite designers. Jeanne-Marie Lanvin (1 January 1867 – 6 July 1946) was a French haute couture fashion designer. She founded the Lanvin fashion house and the beauty and perfume company Lanvin Parfums.

Ginger also mentiosn prohibition in the United States and the speakeasies she frequented. A speakeasy is either an illegal establishment that sold alcohol during the US Prohibition era (1920-1933).
