The Ink Black Heart 3 (Pages 523 - 586)

As Robin has managed to enter the game, using Midge's ex-partner's login details, she tries to interact with the moderators. The first encounter with Amonie ends with his admission that he killed Edie, but it is not clear whether that is the truth or it is simply bravado.

The moderator who Robin talks to more is Worm28, who is a girl with a problem of dyslexia, and she discovers that on Twitter her name is Zozo. Worm28 tells her about a boyfriend but does not reveal his identity, and she mentions a job involving children which she dislikes.

Robin has rolled into a course for natural drawing in the institution where Edie and Josh lived and started the cartoon. She uses a wig and coloured contact lenses, and she calls herself Jessica. Her first objective is to come into contact with Pez (Preston Pierce) who used to be another voice. The man is the model that night, and he tries to flirt and ask Robin out. However, Robin turns her attention to a girl whose arms are full of tattooes who looks after the children in the institution. She is certain that is the girl who Cormoran saw when he spied on Nils and the others. At the end of the session Robin gets to talk to her, and she introduces herself as Zoe. Robin knows that this girl is Worm28, and she tells her that she is from Yorkshire and came to London to live with her boyfriend, but she doesn't say his name. 

Robin tells Cormoran that Amonie may be a woman because from analysing Amonie's interactions there is only one time when Amonie flirted with a woman. So she has the theory that Amonie may be Kea Niven, Josh's former girlfriend. Even though Edie ruled her out because she had seen her when Amonie was online, Robin can't be sure that Edie was right. Amonie retweeted something about disabled people, and the vitriol was always against Edie, never Josh. Kea is bedridden now because she is sick, so that is one thing that may be evidence that she is Amonie. Robin's theory makes sense, and Cormoran will talk to her, but so far when he has called, her mother has said that her daughter is too sick to answer questions.
